How to Preserve Your Photographs
With today’s digital technology it is so easy to store all our photographs on our electronic devises and in the Cloud.
But why hide them away when we can print them to enjoy them every day!
In the past printing our photos was how we enjoyed them. They can bring so much joy to our family for generations to come.
I remember my mum keeping them in a draw at home. My sister and I enjoyed going through them often, we still do. They bring back so many memories and remind us of our loved once who are no longer with us.
Paper prints however need to be well looked after to stand the test of time. There a few things to consider:
- Keep your photos them away from direct sunlight.
- Store your images in a dry place where humidity can’t get to them.
- An archival quality box is best to hold onto your photographs – paper, cardboard or wood are best over glass or plastic.
Our new Bamboo Folio Box is a perfect way to keep your photographs safe. They are handmade from premium Australian Ash timber and stained bamboo in Australia.
The cover features a printed on a Hand Torn floating fine art photographic print with a deckle edge.
Each box features rustic gold hinges and a swing clasp to keep your box closed.
On the inside lid you can include any details from your session or write a personalised message – it’s up to you!
You can simply pop these gorgeous matted photograph prints into a frame to display and enjoy them in your home.
I highly encourage my clients to print their photographs to enjoy them every day.
I hope these ideas will help you with preserving your family’s memories and important photographs.
