my story

I’m Reka, a mum of two and the photographer behind HelloBABY Photography. For over 10 years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of capturing Sydney families during their most precious moments.

What started as a passion project when my own children were born has grown into a thriving business built on one simple principle: treating every family like they’re my own.

Being a mum myself, I understand how quickly these moments pass. One day you’re cradling your newborn, and the next they’re running off to school. That’s why I’m passionate about creating timeless photographs that let you hold onto these fleeting days forever.

My approach is simple: calm, patient, and completely baby-led. No rushing, no stress — just beautiful, natural moments captured exactly as they are.

Sessions can run 2-3 hours for newborns (we go at baby’s pace!), so I want to make sure you’re comfortable and well looked after. Feel free to help yourself anytime during your session.

The studio is kept toasty warm for newborns (around 24-26°C) so your baby stays comfortable during their session. Cooler for other sessions.

She was easy to work with from the get-go, answering lots of our questions before the shoot. During the shoot, she was warm and friendly, giving us great direction so that our shoot did not feel unnatural. She was also so patient with our toddler and made him feel so comfortable that he kept going to her for cuddles. The atmosphere in the studio was calm, relaxing and very family-friendly. We are truly so happy to have found her and can't wait to do our newborn shoot with her soon.
